Chocolately Goodness

The catwalk at Pier 94 was dripping with sweet somethings tonight, as a slew of models strutted their stuff in the name of haute chocolate. Top clothing designers paired with leading pastry chefs to create clothes and accessories made from America's favorite guilty pleasure. The show, designed around a superhero theme, featured models masquerading as Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Barbarella, Poison Ivy, Medusa, Lara Croft and Xena Warrior Princess, among others. The hypercharged event included designs by Narciso Rodriguez, Jack Mackenroth, Kevin Christiana and Kit Scarbo and served as the kickoff to the New York City Chocolate Show, which is running through Sunday at 711 12th Avenue (at 55th Street). The eleventh annual confab gathers more than fifty exhibitors in all. And nary a Hershey Bar in sight.
