Go for a Round with the Victoria's Secret Angels

What's the secret to keeping a Victoria's Secret body? If you ask Candice Swanepoel (left), her answer just might include spinning. Along with fellow Victoria's Secret angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Erin Heatherton and Lindsay Ellingson, Swanepoel will be taking part in a special "Supermodel Cycle" tonight at SoulCycle's spinning studio in TriBeCa. The one-time event is a benefit for Pelotonia, a charity devoted to ending cancer. Sadly, seats don't come cheap (prices range from $1,000 to $2,500), but then again, how often do you get to ride with angels?

All in Good Taste

Lever House, the New York restaurant treasure that looks as though it was lifted from an episode of Mad Men, was positively buzzing tonight, as delectable food and wines were passed—along with a healthy dose of animated conversation—during Share Our Strength's annual New York dinner. Host chef Bradford Thompson was joined in the kitchen by Anita Lo, Terrance Brennan, Jacques Torres, Marc Murphy, Alain Allegretti and Michael Laskonis, all of whom donated their time preparing a sumptuous series of courses (paired with wines donated by Empire Merchants) to titillate the palates of patrons who had paid $1,000 or more per ticket. Patron proceeds, combined with funds raised during silent and live auctions, will be used to further the charity's goal of eradicating childhood hunger in America by 2015. Dubbed "A Tasteful Pursuit," the evening was the kick-off for a series of similar nights that will be held around the country throughout the year, in cities including Palm Beach, Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago. Quoting Mother Teresa, Share Our Strength director Billy Shore expressed why he believes that goal to be attainable: "If you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt—only more love."

And They Partied Like It Was 1899

The costumery was straight out of an Edith Wharton novel, but last night's party at The Box was anything but a dainty homage to the age of innocence. Sponsored by nerve.com and Hendrick's Gin, the invitation-only burlesque event welcomed a packed house of party-goers, all of whom impressed in their nineteenth-century finery. They sipped vintage-inspired cocktails while taking in the bawdy theatrics unfolding on stage and in the air. If this is what life was like in the nineteenth century, put us on the waiting list for a time machine. From hats to corsets, gowns to morning coats, the only things not period-accurate last night were the ever-present BlackBerrys. A small price to pay for a glimpse of life in an age that revealed less but foretold so much more.
