Heads Above Water

Though the booze was flowing at the Metropolitan Pavilion last night, the liquid on everyone's lips was water. Charity: Water, the brainchild of Scott Harrison, is an organization devoted to bringing clean H20 to communities throughout the Third World. The group's third-annual fund-raiser attracted the élite of NYC's glam set, including Jenna Elfman, Rocco DiSpirito and the night's host, Adrien Grenier. A number of guests took their turn on an empathy catwalk--a platform upon which they could strut their stuff while simultaneously carrying two large jugs of water. For every walker who experienced this tiny taste of what it's like for women who travel miles on foot to find clean drinking water for their families, the Kodak corporation made an $80 contribution to charity: water. At the after-party, held at Kiss & Fly, guests and Grenier alike partied well into the wee hours. All in the name of safe drinking water, of course.
