Beach Weather

Temps outside may be chilly, but New Yorkers' hearts have certainly kept warm with the many fundraisers that have sprung up in the past week and a half to support relief efforts in Haiti.

One such party, held to bolster the efforts of UNICEF on the island, was held at Niiki Beach midtown. Cost of entry ($20-$30) was a small price to pay for the opportunity to help our Caribbean neighbor. Not to mention catching up with friends over good music and a mojito created by Nikki Beach mixologist Sebastian Norena.

Have Ferrari, Will Travel

If your taste in cars tends toward fast and Italian, chances are you're a Ferrari fan. If you plan to be in the Hamptons this weekend and have an Enzo or a Testarossa in the garage, this post is for you. For some fun in the sun (for you and for your car), enter the first annual Ferrari Hamptons Rally. Taking place this Saturday, and starting at the Georgica Restaurant & Lounge, in East Hampton, the day commences with a brunch at 11, followed by a two-hour road rally that will bring Ferrari drivers through the communities of East Hampton, Amagansett, Sag Harbor and Southampton. (And far, one would presume, from memories of that morning's traffic on the L.I.E.)

The day is co-hosted by restaurant/lounge Nikki Beach Midtown and real estate entrepreneur and Ferrari collector and enthusiast Nathaniel Christian. No word yet on whether Hamptons dweller Christie Brinkley—who flirtatiously sped past Chevy Chase in a red-hot Ferrari in the Vacation movies—will be there to reprise her famous scene.
