Spirits were high at
City Hall restaurant downtown tonight as Ireland's top-selling whiskey exporter unscrewed the cap on its
Rarest Vintage Reserve (retail $250), a creation that makes its official American debut in March, just in time for St. Patrick's Day. The new offering joins three other reserve-collection whiskeys, the 12-Year-Old Special Reserve, the 18-Year-Old Limited Reserve, and the Gold Reserve.
Rarest Vintage Reserve is fruity and rich, well worth the cost per sip—particularly on a cold New York night.
