Learn to Dance Like MJ, Gaga and More!

Summer may be unofficially over after this weekend, but that does not get you off the hook for staying in shape.

So here's my advice: If you loathe the gym but love to dance, get yourself to Broadway Bodies. Taught by instructors who are actual Broadway dancers, the classes will help you perfect music video moves pulled off by the likes of Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Michael and Janet Jackson and even the cast of Glee. You can also learn dance routines from Great White Way shows like Mamma Mia! and Chicago. At a mere $15 per class, they're both affordable and fun.

I had the opportunity to pop in for a class on a recent "Michael Jackson Monday," and had a blast. Watch my segment (created for Citybuzz), below.

MTV may no longer be showing music videos, but there's no reason you can't bring them to life at home. Give it a try!

We'll Be There

He was there for his fans and now the time has come for us to be there for him. New Yorkers of all stripes will come to the historic Apollo Theater today to pay tribute to the late King of Pop. From 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., the public will be permitted to enter the theater (in groups of 600 at a time) to reminisce, to sing and to watch classic Michael Jackson videos. At 5:26 p.m. EDT (the exact time of the performer's death), the Reverend Al Sharpton will read an invocation in the singer's honor.

It was forty-two years ago that young Michael Jackson and his brothers made their debut on-stage in the Harlem hall as the Jackson Five.

FAST FACT: The Jackson Five did a whopping 31 performances at the Apollo in a single week, reportly working for the grand-total sum of $1,000.
